Gouache painting of camping. Pete likes to do breakfast in the morning. Here he is acting like he belongs in a padded room. I like to use gouache paint like watercolor. There is something about the way it handles that is a nice change from watercolor.
Corn fields that glisten in the sunlight. Old Farm houses sitting at the base of huge rolling hills. Clouds roll over changing warm sunlight to cool shadows. Lots to watercolor here in Central New York.
This can be a scene at any soccer or baseball game. It happens to be at a 4th of July tractor pull in a small farming community in upstate New York. What is a tractor pull? Farmers pull heavy weights with their trackers and the tracker that pulls the most weight from a dead stand still wins.
A long time ago I used to ride my bike out of town and up into the hills before work. This is on the side of one of the roads. I went down there into the river and looked around. Some things in your life you will never forget.
This house is big, I think there are 7 units in this one. We walk by this house going to church all the time. One really cold night. I noticed some one had left the front door wide open.
A watercolor of a group of women at an out doors art show. I wonder what the boy in the middle is thinking.
This blog is about my paintings. Subjects are places I've seen, works from vacations and limited social commentary. I will be posting paintings and drawings and on occasions saying something about the paintings. Probably not going to talk about how to paint or all the other things art blogs talk about. I will post the work and let the work speak for it's self. Hope you find it worth your time and effort. Peace: Me
